Deputy James Trevino became a member of the Blackhawk District Police on January 15, 2024. Deputy Trevino has been with the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff since November 2018. Deputy Trevino attended the Sheriff’s Department’s Academy (LETC), where he was a standout recruit amongst his classmates. Prior to beginning his career in law enforcement Deputy Trevino worked as a supervisor for Altergy Systems, a hydrogen fuel cell company. Deputy Trevino has served in the United States Air Force reserves since 2009 and is currently an aviator. In his off-time Deputy Trevino enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his wife and two daughters (ages 8 and 6) who are involved in competitive gymnastics.
